On Tuesday, January 28, the JFR hosted a formal dinner at POLIN for Polish Righteous. In addition to the Righteous and their families, the event was attended by foreign diplomats and religious and community leaders, who spoke at the gathering. Attendees included Polish President Andrzej Duda’s Secretary of State Wojciech Kolarski; Minister Lech Parell, who leads Poland’s Office of War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, the Israeli Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission Bosmat Baruch; the U.S. Embassy’s political counselor, Peter Neisuler; the German Embassy’s culture department head, Dr. Lorenz Barth, and Poland’s Chief Rabbi Michael Schudrich. In addition, families of nine Israeli hostages held by Hamas attended the dinner.
As POLIN is closed on Tuesdays, the JFR would like to express its appreciation and thanks to POLIN for agreeing to open the Museum for this special occasion.
