NATIONAL HISTORY DAY
The JFR sponsors the Holocaust History Prize as part of National History Day, a year-long education program that engages students in grades 6-12 across the country in the discovery and interpretation of history. Students prepare projects, which are then evaluated at local, state, and national competitions. The $1,000 award sponsored by the JFR is given to a student in the senior division who documents and analyzes a subject related to the Holocaust in Europe between 1933 and 1945. The project must focus on perpetrators, victims, bystanders, or rescuers, or on any topic that has historical significance, influence, or impact. |
