A Special Request for Support
Thank you for visiting my donation page! If you’ve reached this page you know that I’m participating in the Danskin Women’s Triathlon on September 14, 2008. It is a sprint triathlon - 1/2 mile open water swim; 12 mile bike ride; and a 5 K walk/run. My goal is to finish! The event will be held down the Jersey shore at Sandy Hook National Recreation area. So if you’re in the area, do come and root for me and the other 1,500 ladies on. We can all use your support.
We are in the water at 7:30 a.m.! To all my friends and JFR supporters who live down the Jersey shore, get up early and come out and cheer us on and bring signs!
I had such a good time last year that I decided to do it again - I must be crazy! And I know that the rescuers so very much appreciate receiving additional funds at Christmas.
You may remember that I tore my meniscus training for the 2007 Danskin and I had surgery in February of this year. So I am doing okay - a little slow - but I'm moving!
All funds raised will go towards the JFR 2008 Christmas Food Program for rescuers. Each year the JFR sends an extra grant to rescuers living in Eastern Europe which is where the majority of the 1,200 rescuers we support live for the purchase of food during the Christmas holiday season.
My goal is to raise $5,000!

Without a doubt, you are an achiever!
Best of luck, and as a swimmer (I swim like a turtle but I get there), pace yourself.
The Jewish Foundation of the Righteous is lucky to have your leadership.
Go for it! I know you will succeed, because you mean to...
An urban intellectual being yet again called upon to perform like a professional athlete inspires us to work out more often.
Pace yourself and reach the finish line. We admire your assiduity and support your worthy cause.
